| The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. It has no formal name other than "The Moon", although in English it is occasionally called Luna (Latin for moon), or Selene, to distinguish it from the generic "moon" (natural satellites of other planets are also called moons). Its symbol is a crescent. The terms lunar, selene/seleno-, and cynthion (from the Lunar deities Selene and Cynthia) refer to the Moon (aposelene, selenocentric, pericynthion, etc.).- wikipedia.org | ||

US Lacrosse I played lacrosse at the University of Illinois. Played crease attack. If you play this position, be prepared to get creamed everytime the ball comes near you. USA Hockey Played recreational ice hockey during and after college. Awesome sport. Also reffed intramurally and for youth and adult ice hockey leagues through USA Hockey. My son has started taking skating lessons and is picking it up pretty well. Hoping he will be interested enough to start playing in the next couple of years. US Adventure Racing Association Just starting to get into adventure racing. Starting out with orienteering and mountain biking. Hopefully will get into rock climbing and repelling. US Orienteering Federation Also great fun. Went to first meet Mar 2006 with my son. Beginner levels are fairly easy with it almost all on the trails. The intermediate ones will be where we start learning, stuff. Geocaching Good hiking fun for the whole family. Teaching kids about the outdoors and how to use the GPS. I personally use and like the Magellan Meridian Series, but hear that Lowrance and Garmin are pretty good too. I like orienteering better, but the kids like geocaching for the 'prize exchange' factor. That's why we don't generally go for micro-caches as a group. Knights of Columbus Member, but not so active. Good group of guys who support the Catholic church and do a lot of charity work.
